Our skilled facilitators create a safe environment and
optimize the unique opportunities for personal growth and team-building
found in that environment. With years of experience, they have the skill
to capture a group's significant moments and guide the debriefing process
that follows each activity. They help participants make meaningful connections
between individual, group and life experiences, and ensure that trust
and improved communications continue beyond the shared team-building adventure.

of facilitators. Hunter holds a BS in Agricultural Economics from
Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia University. He is currently
pursuing a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology at JFK University.
Hunter has over 22 years of experience facilitating teams at companies
and governments. He has over 16 years of experience training and
coaching financial professionals, having worked at JP Morgan, Chemical
Bank and Rabobank International. Hunter grew up on a dairy farm
in upstate New York and has built upon his life-long interest in
the farm environment to create an ideal venue for experiential learning.

learning programs.

Anne Holding, facilitates our programs with youth, families
and other non-profit and corporate groups. Anne holds a BA in
French from Trinity College in Connecticut and has done MBA graduate
course work. Anne is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Psychology.
She especially enjoys studying the effects which carefully structured
animal interaction programs can have on people who have executive
functioning disorders or who have suffered trauma (PTSD). Although
she worked in the corporate world in NYC, her true passion is working
with children and youth
including those with severe emotional disorders and autism as well
as children and adolescents who are differently-abled. In developing
the scholarship fund for DHR, she also hopes to be able to bring
increasing numbers of children here from inner cities. She has
done so for over 30 years in NYC, San Francisco and the East Bay.
Anne began teaching experiential learning programs in 1994 and
started the animal-centered programs at the ranch in 1996. She
is a dynamic and engaging teacher who transforms the learning process
into a fun and interactive journey.
Anne is a Therapeutic Behavior Specialist (TBS) and is a member of
NARHA, and the Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) Association.

Theresa Hurley graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Sociology. Soon
after graduation she moved to New Zealand where she spent some
time working for the New Zealand government, then switched gears
and coordinated a battered women's shelter, empowering women
to make positive changes in their lives. When she moved back
to the US she worked as a personal organizer helping people bring
order to their homes and offices. She has coordinated events
and programs for various non-profits as well as facilitated a child
safety program through the Family Stress Center where she taught
children ways to keep themselves safe and learn to trust their
instincts. In addition she is actively involved in her children’s
schools and Girl Scouts. Prior to becoming Program Administrator,
Theresa worked as a Farm Interpretation Program Leader and Summer
Camp Counselor at Deer Hill Ranch. She loves hiking, camping,
being in the outdoors, running, swimming, and especially spending
time with her 3 children. |
